Bone-in Pork Chop with Mushroom Onion Cream Sauce
INGREDIENTS: 4 boneless pork chops about 1/2" thick
½ tsp paprika or to taste
1 Tbsp unsalted butter divided
1 Tbsp olive oil
8 oz mushrooms sliced
½ medium onion sliced
4 garlic cloves minced
1 Tbsp flour
1 tsp corn starch
2 tsp sriracha
1 1/2 cups chicken broth
1/3 cup heavy whipping cream
Salt & Pepper to Taste
DIRECTIONS:
Season pork chops with salt, pepper and paprika.Â
Add 1 tbsp olive oil into a large pan over med/high heat and sear chops 3-4 minutes on both side until golden brown.
Remove pork chops and cover with tin foil to keep warm and set aside.
In the same pan, Add 1 Tbsp butter and onions. Lightly season with salt and pepper. Cook 3-4 minutes, until onions are tender.Â
Add sliced mushrooms and continue cooking, once golden brown add in the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 secs.
Add the flour and quickly stir for 30 seconds.
Add the chicken broth, sriracha, heavy cream and additional season.
As it begins to simmer and 1 tsp corn stretch and stir additional few minutes until cream begins to thicken.
Add pork chops back to the skillet and pour the mushroom sauce over the pork.Â
Reduce heat to low and simmer for about 7-8 minutes or until sauce thickens.
Enjoy! **Sauce tastes great with streamed broccoli or cauliflower.
