Sweet Garlic Pork Chops



INGREDIENTS 4 Pork Chop

2 Tsp Garlic Powder

1 Tsp Cayenne

1 Tsp Onion Powder

2 Tbsp Olive Oil

2 Tbsp Unsalted Butter

1/2 Garlic Clove (minced)

1/4 Cup Honey

1/4 Chicken Broth

2 Tbsp White Vinegar



DIRECTIONS

Season the pork chops with salt, pepper, cayenne, onion powder and garlic powder before cooking.


Heat olive oil in a pan over medium to high heat. Once hot sear the chops on both sides until golden and cooked through. Depending on the thickness between 3 - 5 minutes on each side.


Transfer to a plate and set the pork chops aside.


Reduce the heat in the pan to medium and melt the butter.

Scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan and add the garlic. Cook for about 30 seconds until you can smell it.


Add the honey and vinegar to the garlic and increase the heat to medium-high and continue to cook until the sauce starts to reduces down and thickens slightly (about 2 minutes). Be sure to stir occasionally to keep it from burning.


Add pork back into the pan, along with the chicken broth and baste generously with the sauce on both sides. Transfer the pork to the broiler for 1-2 minutes, or until edges are slightly charred.
