Creamy Garlic Pork
INGREDIENTS:
2-4 Bone-in Pork Chops
5 Garlic Cloves (whole)
1 Tbsp Olive Oil
1/2 Tsp Salt
1/2 Tsp Pepper
1/2 Tsp Oregano
1/2 Tsp Garlic Powder
2 Tbsp Butter (divided)
1 Tbsp Corn Starch (or Flour)
1/2 Cup Chicken Broth
1/2 Tsp Lemon Juice
3/4 Cup Heavy Cream
3 Sprigs Fresh Basil
DIRECTIONS:
Take the pork out of the fridge and let it get to about room temperature. Then season both sides generously with salt, pepper and oregano.
In a medium pan add half the butter and olive oil and sear off the pork by cooking it for about 4-5 minutes on both sides. Once they are about 80% cooked remove them from the pan and set them aside.
Next place the whole garlic into the pan with the remaining butter. Cook off the garlic and then move it to one side of the pan.
Sprinkle take the corn starch and quickly mix it with a little cool water before adding it to the pan along with the Chicken Broth & Lemon Juice. Continue to stir until it starts to thicken.
Add the heavy cream, garlic powder stir while brining the mixture to a simmer.
Place the pork back into the mixture and continue to let is simmer for about 4-5 minutes.
The last minute before serving add the fresh basil and stir it in.
