Vietnamese Soy Pork Chops

INGREDIENTS:

2-4 Pork Chops

1/4 Sweet Onion (minced)

3 Garlic Cloves (minced)

3/4 cup Water (divided 1/4 & 1/2 cup)

1 1/2 tbsp Brown Sugar

2 tbsp Soy Sauce

2 tbsp Fish Sauce

1 tsp Lemon Juice

1 tsp Corn Starch

DIRECTIONS:

In a gallon zip-lock bag combine 1/4 c water, brown sugar, soy sauce, fish sauce, garlic, onions and lemon juice.

Mix it all up and then add the Pork to the bag. Seal the and let the pork marinate for 15 - 20 minutes.

While the pork is marinating, pre-heat the broiler.

Place the pork chops on to a backing sheet (I cover mine with tin foil for easy clean up) and place in in the oven to cook for about 10 min or until the internal temperature is 165°F.

While the pork is in the broiler, take the remaining marinating sauce and pour it into a sauce pan. Add the remainder of the water and bring the mixture to a boil. Stir in the corn starch to thicken it into a gravy

Enjoy!

*We chose to serve this over over cauliflower rice with a side of steamed broccoli
